Tattoos and Art by David Bruehl
Hellbound and Heartless
2006
I'll replace this with a healed photo soon, this photo was taken a couple days after the fact when the tattoo was gnarly and healing. This tattoo is on my coworker's throat. It was completed in one session, and will likely be the last single session throat piece I ever do. My preference for large neck pieces is to split them up into a couple sessions as it makes for a much more comfortable healing process.

My coworker gave me specific elements he wanted in the tattoo and my major challenge was fitting them into the spot in a compositionally attractive manner. This tattoo has been featured in the Heart Attacks' CD case for their album, "Hellbound and Heartless" (Weird coincidence, huh?) and they show the tattoo in one of their videos.
